The Old Testament Reader was designed with the sole purpose of facilitating your scripture reading goal. To initiate your journey, simply select a target finish date, place your bookmark in the Old Testament, and you are ready to embark. Daily notifications will keep you on track by indicating the designated reading and the progress needed to reach your goal.

As you delve into the scriptures, the app will adjust the reading suggestions based on your progress. If, for instance, you read additional verses one day, your overall goal will adapt accordingly. Conversely, if you happen to miss a couple of days, the app will adjust the daily suggestions to include extra verses, ensuring that you still achieve your ultimate goal.

The minimalist and clutter-free layouts contribute to an effortless tracking of your progress. Whether you intend to complete your reading by year-end or a specific occasion, nothing stands between you and accomplishing your scripture reading objective.

We extend our gratitude to Ben Crowder, BYU, and the Mormon Documentation Project for their invaluable contributions. The scriptural text included in this app is sourced from the 2013 edition of the LDS scriptures, specifically the King James Version. All incorporated text falls within public domain regulations. It is important to note that any additional headings and study guides remain property of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and are not included in this application.
